stomach flu..

sorry I haven't posted in a bit
I had this awful stomach flu
I realized that while I'm sick, my temper becomes worse and my fuse becomes shorter

Everything made me angry
Luckily I had also lost my voice for a couple of days so I wasn't able to really express my anger, which kept me out of trouble
Anyways, this post is short since I'm still tired and my stomach still feels like it has a ball of fire inside of it...
Goodness I hate being sick..
Its odd since the temperature is always so high here...
I'm gonna go back to bed
Ciao

wet suede and frizz

so today I went down to beirut to get some things done for my siblings.
so this morning when I was getting ready to leave, I decided to wear my black suede boots
Big mistake
as I'm walking back to the car after finishing what I had to do, it started pouring
not a small drizzle
full on fat raindrops the size of cows
I'm instantly drenched in a matter of minutes
So are my black suede boots
And my hair which I had so carefully styled in the morning becomes a wet mess that will surely frizz up as it dries in the car...
Oh what a wonderful day
Haha and there's tons of traffic in beirut
So I ended up being stuck in a car for an hour in traffic while soaking wet

And while I was stuck soaking wet in a car for an hour, I got to thinking about family
And how people view family
When I was living in boston, I remember that there was always an underlying sense of family. Sure we might not eat together at the same time and we don't see each other much, but we've got each others backs. In fact, close friends often became family in each others eyes
When I came here, it felt like it was everyone for his or herself
Sorta ironic because people used to tell me that the sense of family is greater here than in the western world.
And as I started to make a breakthrough discovery in my mind, I started coughing and lost my train of thought

And now I'm sick in bed..
Funny how a day starts off and how it ends...

popping the blogging cherry

I've had other blogs before, but they've never been very successful considering I get bored and sorta forget about them and when I remember them again, I can't for the life of me remember my password...

With that said, I suppose my blogging cherry had been popped a while ago.

Ah well

Anyways, I guess a need a blog to rant about liFe a little. Plus I realized that most of my best thoughts come out when I'm just typing away.
Strange...
But convenient since I spend most of my day at a computer whether it's at work or just for fun!

So I think in this post, I want to cover some of my pet peeves. The things that urk me to no end. the thing is...not many things (or people) get to me.
so here's my top five pet peeves...
1. liars. I cant stand liars. My dad's mother is an undiagnosed pathological liar and she makes me crazy. She just sits and thinks lies to herself and then spreads them. I can't stand liars. A little white lie here and then is acceptable, but to lie for no reason? Well...that just gets to me...
2. My dad's mother's voice. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Maybe I'm biased because all I've ever heard her voice do is lie.
3. Jealousy. Especially from other woman (or in some cases, girls)
There was this girl (i say girl even though she's 22 because she acts as mature as a twelve year old) who had a crush on this guy. This guy happened to be like a brother to me so she would try to create rifts between us and start drama. And the thing is...the guy had a girlfriend that he loves. So...the whole situation really didn't make sense. Crazy jealous girls make me crazy...
4. Drama. I can't stand drama. The whole he said she said thing makes me want to drive nails into my eyes....i don't care what he said or what she said. Shutup. I don't care what you heard. If you can't say it to my face, then don't say it at all. If you're in the right, then why hide behind other people? seriously, I think some people have nothing better to do than sit and talk about people and create problems.
Are they that bored of their lives?
Pick up a hobby and stop running that tongue..
5. Mosquitoes. I can't stand bugs. Any bugs. I scream when I see spiders, I cry when I see cockroaches, I whimper when I see waterbugs.. I'm afraid of all bugs. I'm not afraid of mosquitoes. I just hate them. and because I live in lebanon with a generally warm climate...they are here all year round.
During the night they buzz around my ears and wake me up. They drive me insane...
And for some reason, the mosquitoes here are some sort of mutant breed. vape (the mosquito spray) doesn't seem to work on them. My theory is that they're descendants of dinosaurs or something and they'll outlive us all...
The other day I sprayed a mosquito, it flew around like it got dizzy for a bit and then flew away normally...
I read somewhere that mosquitoes can't stand the blood of smokers. It doesn't work though. They still eat me ALIVE

There are the five most annoying things in my opinion.

I just tried killing a mosquito
I hit it and it got all flat..and then got up and flew away..damn mutant mosquitoes
